Support the Mission
Our mission is to provide our neighbors in need with FREE home heating firewood. We are a 100% volunteer organization, so all contributions go to support that mission.
Unless otherwise designated, all donations will be used where needed most.
Directing Donations
You may direct your gifts to be used in any of these areas:
-
Where Needed Most (default)
Supports the ministry’s highest priorities and allows us to respond quickly to current and emerging needs throughout the season.
-
Capital Improvement Plan (priority need)
Helps us purchase safer, more efficient equipment—especially vital as most of our wood processing volunteers, e.g., cutters, round movers, splitters, and deliverers, are in their 50s, 60s, and 70s. Our immediate goal of $56,570 will significantly improve productivity and reduce physical strain while cutting and splitting more firewood for neighbors in need.
-
WNC FireWood Inc. Overhead
Covers essential administrative and operational costs that keep the organization running effectively. This includes titling, insurance, taxes, and repair costs for the major equipment used for firewood processing.
-
WNC FireWood Ministry Overhead
Supplement our sponsoring congregations’ support for ministry-specific expenses for operating the Production Woodlot and Distribution Center—fuel, routine equipment repair and maintenance, supplies, and other essential needs that enable volunteers to prepare and deliver free home heating firewood to families across our community.
